Class Descriptions
Explore our reformer classes from Basic through Advanced. Start where you’ll learn fastest, then progress with confidence — guided by our certified STOTT PILATES® instructors.
We kindly request all new clients to book the Basic level on their first session. Don’t be fooled by the name “Basic” — you will work hard. This is not an orientation class.
Basic – Classical Reformer
STOTT PILATES® principles · classical sequences · intelligent technique
Learn the STOTT PILATES® technique and the classical reformer exercises pioneered by Joseph Pilates, enhanced with modern biomechanical principles. Improve alignment, posture, flexibility, coordination, joint mobility and deep core strength.
Basic – Power Reformer
Full-body conditioning · strength & stamina · controlled burn
Not your traditional Pilates class: this is full-body conditioning on the reformer. Expect muscle burn, fatigue and sweat. You’ll build stamina, strength, endurance and balance while learning to voluntarily connect deep support muscles — the key to faster progress. *This class is only offered at Core Windsor
Intermediate Intro – Classical Reformer
Progress to intermediate repertoire
Advance once you clearly understand the STOTT PILATES® basic principles and technique. Learn intermediate level exercises with emphasis on precision and control.
Intermediate Flow – Classical Reformer
Choreographed set repertoire · no in-class teaching of foundations
This highly technical, choreographed class follows a set classical repertoire that must be learned and mastered before joining. Exercises, transitions and control are graded by technique. We won’t stop to teach these exercises in class.
Intermediate – Power Reformer
Higher intensity · longer levers · endurance focus
Turn up the intensity with increased resistance, longer levers, greater time under tension and muscular endurance. This level demands higher fitness, stamina and strength — expect full-body challenge and muscle overload. *This class is only offered at Core Windsor
Advanced Intro – Classical Reformer
Extreme mobility & control · minimal modifications
Advanced classical repertoire requires exceptional mobility, stability control and strength. Participants must have full command of the intermediate classical repertoire and its transitions. We do not teach intermediate exercises in this class.
