The STOTT PILATES® Intensive Mat Plus (IMP) is an intensive Pilates course intended for those already working in the fields of fitness or movement.
Learn to effectively design and lead the Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES® Matwork repertoire, for personal or group training settings for a range of clients. Furthermore, the STOTT PILATES® Mat Pilates teacher training course will provide you with a solid foundation and required skills to develop effective and motivating Pilates Matwork programs.
This course is perfect for experienced fitness instructors, personal trainers, sports therapists, physiotherapists and those with a strong dance background looking to enhance their skills and improve their employability. Additionally, you will get the skills required to design and teach essential and intermediate level Pilates matwork classes while integrating small equipment. Above all, you will be able to teach a variety of clients, populations and settings.
The STOTT PILATES® Intensive Matwork Plus is your springboard to embarking in a Pilates instructor career and continuing on to the Pilates reformer.

STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor – Matwork Level 1
Students with no previous anatomy experience will be accepted to the STOTT PILATES® courses when booking the anatomy course online. This anatomy course online will equip you with the necessary knowledge required to join the STOTT PILATES® courses and pass your exams

A minimum number of hours of observation, practice teaching and physical review are required for all courses and should be completed between instructed sessions at any STOTT PILATES facility. Additional training may be required before Pilates teacher training certification. Most importantly, practice teaching and physical review hours must be logged outside of class time. The practice logs must be submitted on your exam date (either written or practical exam). Lastly, if the student fails to submit all the logs within 7 days from the last portion of the exam, the entire exam will be void.
Consider these post-course hours as a continuation of the course to better prepare you for your exam.
Includes watching sessions taught by a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor or relevant STOTT PILATES videos.
In other words, physically performing the exercises learned in class. Participating in a class with a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor or working out with video can qualify as physical review hours, and can be completed individually or with other students.

Carlo is a registered osteopath and a Pilates passionista, who loves to inspire students and clients. His affection for Pilates was born after a dance injury when he discovered the benefits of spinal rehabilitation through the STOTT PILATES® method. He is a Merrithew® Instructor Trainer, a STOTT PILATES® REHAB Reformer 1 & 2 trained instructor and a STOTT PILATES® Athletic Conditioning Specialist & Group Matwork Specialist.
Carlo holds a BSc. Ost.(Hons) from the College of Osteopaths in London, UK, a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA and is a YMCA FIT Gym Instructor certified in strength training.
